VERIFY YOUR REGISTRATION

Regardless of who you register with, you should occasionally check your registration information with the county.  Boulder County Clerk's phone number is (303)413-7740Here is the link to Boulder County's website to check your status.  Put in your last name and date of birth, and you'll get verification of your name, address, Voter ID, gender, school district, party affiliation, affiliation date, precinct number, registration date, status (active/inactive), congressional district, state senate district, and state house district.
Why is it important to check this information?
1) If you are being newly registered, you want to make sure your application was received prior to any registration deadline, and definitely before any election.
2) You want to make sure this information is accurate.  Just because you fill out an application correctly, input errors are possible.  This is YOUR information, check it regularly.
3) You may from time to time want to contact your elected representative, with this information you'll be sure of contacting the right one.
4) Precincts and Districts change, especially after a census is taken.
A note about precinct numbers:  sometimes you'll see your precinct denoted in a 3 digit code, other times in a 10 digit code.  Here's how the 10 digit code breaks down:
First number is your U.S. Congressional District, for Longmont this should be 2 or 4

Second number is your State Senate District, for Longmont this should be 17
Third number is your State House District, for Longmont this should be 11 or 12
Fourth number is your County number, I've yet to see a description of what this means, should be 2 digits
The Fifth and last number is your 3 digit precinct number
